[Vietnam Legal Updates] Tet bonuses are not only money

The new Labor Code has expanded the notion of bonuses – not just money but also other means. This regulation comes into force from 1-1-2021.

Specifically, the Code retains the spirit of the current 2012 Labor Code, meaning that employers are not required to reward Tet, bonus on other holidays for employees.

However, this Code has allowed employers to reward employees not only with money but also in kind as goods and services of the company or reward by other methods such as discount offers, traveling, etc.
