[The Coronavirus in Cambodia – Live Legal Updates] Mandatory quarantine for all travelers to Cambodia

The Cambodia Ministry of Health released a press release on health initiatives for any traveler who entering Cambodia, taking effect from December 12, 2020.

Pursuant to Samdech Techo Hun Sen's High Memorandum of Understanding of 4 December 2020, on Letter No. 250, which covers the implementation of measures for healthcare and provocation for travelers entering Cambodia, dated 12 December 2020:

  • All passengers must complete a full 14-day quarantine after being tested on arrival in Cambodia. They must also have a certification verified by their country’s health authority claiming they are not infected. This certification is valid for a maximum of 72 hours before their departure.
  • This notice suspends the establishment of the sponsorship mechanism for foreign travelers, investors, business people, corporate staff, experts, and technicians who are guaranteed to be in Cambodia for less than 14 days.
